Each participant completing the program received a certificate issued jointly from the UA and the Mexican Foreign Ministry. A ceremony with Mexican officials and representatives from the University was held in Mexico City on Aug. 2.

Mexican diplomats are learning the foundations of American law in order to enhance consular services and strengthen binational relations.

Zlática Kraljevic worked in Alan Randolph's crystallization lab in the UA Department of Chemical Engineering while pursuing graduate degrees. After earning her master's in 1977, she became one of the first women to earn a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the UA in 1981.
