Program Overview

As one of the oldest universities in Chile, la Universidad de Concepción (UDEC) is rich with tradition. Upper-level engineering students can study their engineering degree at UDEC in the Spanish language gaining a premiere Latin American education. 


Courses offered at the Universidad de Concepción are taught in Spanish. Some suggested courses for Water and Environmental Engineering students are:

Apartment with local students is the most common form of housing, but students could also reserve a long-term hostal or pensión. (On-campus housing is not available)


The beautiful city of Concepción sits along the Pacific Ocean approximately 6 hours south of the country's capitol of Santiago. With a population of around 300,000, there is plenty to do and see while also being able to navigate the city easily. Try your hand at surfing or stop by UDEC's famous art gallery, the Pinacoteca!
