Program Overview

Maynooth University is one of UA’s few exchange partners in Ireland. It is centrally located in one of Ireland’s university town, Maynooth, with medieval origins; And is just 20 minutes west of the vibrant city of Dublin. It enrolls over 10000 students and offers 26 academic departments for students to choose from.



The undergraduate learning experience at Maynooth University is flexibly designed to meet the individual needs of a diverse student body. It is an experience that stimulates and supports every student to reach their full potential. Maynooth University offers a variety of undergraduate classes within five faculties: Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Celtic Studies, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Philosophy, and the Faculty of Science. *Exchange places fill up quickly and are based on a first-come, first-served basis. To assure there are placements available, please contact the study abroad coordinator for this program before applying. Only students who have turned in a complete application will reserve a spot for this program.


Located minutes from Dublin in the heart of Ireland.


There is private and on-campus accommodation available through the University's Residence Office. Visiting international students share 5 bedroom apartments with Irish and European students. Each single bedroom has a private (ensuite) bathroom, and students share a large living room area with fully equipped kitchen. There is Internet, too (of course).
