Mahidol University International College (MUIC) is the international component of one of Thailand's oldest universities. MUIC offers exchange students the opportunity to study in Thailand outside of the typical "exchange student bubble," including numerous activities both on and off campus. Immerse yourself in the rich culture Thailand has to offer, learn or practice Thai, study on the serene and beautiful campus, and experience one of the most vibrant cities in the world: Bangkok.
Exchange students at Mahidol University International College have a choice of approximately 400 courses each trimester in faculties of the Arts, Sciences and Business Administration. Exchange students are encouraged to take the Thai Language and Culture course to broaden their understanding of Thailand and its people. All classes are taught in English. The academic calendar is based on the American system and includes three trimesters and a summer session, with each trimester running for a period of 12 weeks. Students can study one trimester up to an academic year (three trimesters). Trimester one is September - December, Trimester two is January - March, and Trimester three is April - July.
Mahidol University International College is located in a beautiful suburban area just a short distance from Bangkok's city limits in Phuttamonthon District, Nakhon Pathom Province. Mahidol University is situated on a site of 520 acres, with beautiful garden-like decorations that make it an ideal setting for studying or working in tranquility, while the hustle and bustle of Bangkok is within easy reach.
MUIC is no longer offering housing to incoming students. However, during the application process, the Student Exchange Unit at MUIC will provide a list of accommodations near campus.
