Griffith University has five campuses to choose from in South East Queensland, between Brisbane and Gold Coast. It’s a great location for students interested in living on the Australian coast or in one of the largest cities in Australia. Griffith is noted for its innovation and multidisciplinary approach, with over 300 majors to choose from.
Please note: Exchange places fill up quickly and are based on a first-come, first-served basis. To assure there are placements available, please contact the study abroad coordinator for this program before applying. Only students who have turned in a complete application will reserve a spot for this program.
IMPORTANT: Exchange students must be officially nominated by home university coordinator or equivalent no later than 1 March for semester 2 (Fall) and by 1 September for semester 1 (Spring). Applications that are started after the nomination deadline will have to be delayed to the following semester.
Griffith University has a variety of coursework to choose from for any student! There are 5 campus locations for Griffith - which is something to keep in mind when browsing the course catalog. It is important for you to take into consideration the fact that Griffith University operates off a trimester system instead of the UA's semester system. Located in the state of Queensland in Australia, Griffith University has six campus locations in and around Brisbane city and on the Gold Coast: South Bank campus, Mt Gravatt campus, Nathan campus, Logan campus, and the Gold Coast campus. Queensland’s subtropical climate is perfect, with typically mild winters and warm summers. Home to 1.6 million people, Brisbane offers all the social, cultural and recreational facilities you would expect of a capital city, in a beautiful riverside setting. The Gold Coast, on the other hand, is Australia’s holiday capital, with amazing theme parks, wildlife sanctuaries, national parks, and some of the best beaches on earth.
Griffith accommodation offers a friendly service to help students find the right place to live. Options include: on and off-campus accommodation, student hostels, flats/ houses/ apartments, shared accommodation and homestay. The Nathan and Mt Gravatt campuses offer on-campus accommodation in catered single rooms and flat-style self-catered single rooms. The Gold Coast campus offers on-campus accommodation in Griffith University Village.
