Program Overview

Global Engineering Education Exchange (GE³) is an international exchange program for engineering students at member institutions. The program offers the opportunity for American students to study in one of 10 countries overseas, and for international students at partner campuses to study in the United States. The program is designed to allow students to take courses overseas for credit at their home institutions.

Academics

Global Engineering Education Exchange (GE³) is an international exchange program for engineering students at member institutions. The program offers the opportunity for American students to study in one of 10 countries overseas, and for international students at partner campuses to study in the United States. The program is designed to allow students to take courses overseas for credit at their home institutions.

Engineering and computer science students from Global E³ consortium member institutions can study abroad for one semester or a full academic year. Students are also given the opportunity to complement their study abroad experience with an internship after one semester of study abroad.

Location

With hundreds of universities spread across 10 countries, engineering students can find a location, which will meet their needs AND desires.

Denmark, Finland, Germany, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and the United Kingdom offer programs in English.

Austria, France, Germany, Mexico, South Korea, Spain, and Sweden also offer excellent opportunities for students interested in the challenge of studying in another language.

Because this is a competitive and international program (especially for programs in the UK and Japan), students need to select their top three institutions with the understanding that they will be placed where opportunity is available.

Housing

Housing is dependent upon the university involved in the exchange. Each institution can help to arrange or advise students on the housing particular to the institution they are accepted to.
