Explore Italy during summer pre-session! Students who have previously taken or plan to enroll in the course CLASSICS 310: Rome in Film, can spend their summer visiting the splendors of Italy.
Required course- CLASSICS 310: Rome in Film with Dr. Cynthia White
Additionally, you will be enrolled in a 1 unit CLASS 499 course using the cities of Italy as your text!
Site visits include Venice, Florence, Sorrento, Pompeii, and Rome. Arriving in Rome, we spend three days that include visits to the Forum, Colosseum, Vatican Museums, and several other sites. Next, we will head to the charming coastal town of Sorrento and also visit the ruins at Pompeii. Afterwards, we head to Florence, the jewel of the Renaissance, to see Michelangelo’s David and also the splendid Uffizi Gallery. We finish in Venice, where we will visit the Doges Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica.
