Explore Italy on your spring break! Site visits include Venice, Florence, Sorrento, Pompeii, and Rome. Arriving in Venice, we will visit the Doges Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica before traveling south to Florence, the jewel of the Renaissance, to see Michelangelo’s David and also the splendid Uffizi Gallery. From Florence, we travel to the charming coastal town of Sorrento. The next day we will visit the ruins at Pompeii en route to Rome, where we spend three days that include visits to the Forum, Colosseum, Vatican Museums, and several other sites. On our last evening, after watching the sunset over the Colosseum, we have a farewell dinner capped by a famous Roman gelato! Earn academic credit using the cities of Italy as your text!
