Program Overview

Make steady progress toward your academic degree AND gain valuable hands-on skills in an international internship in one of Central Europe's economic and cultural capitals. Incorporate a professional internship placement into your summer study program and give your future career a boost. Internships in Prague encourage you to immerse into local culture while developing practical skills in fields such as marketing, management, advertising, communication, international relations, and more.  Take care of those degree requirements and build the foundations of your professional network all while gaining the international experience you’ve been seeking with opportunities to study and intern in Prague.

Tentative Program Dates: May 26th 2018 – July 28th 2018

This program is organized by Eller College of Management but is open to all UA students. CEA’s summer internship program includes an academic seminar and an internship placement. The internship seminar meets for 24 contact hours and you'll spend 160 hours at your internship placement over 8 weeks. Together, your seminar and internship placement are worth 3 credits. Your internship placement hours may vary depending on industry standards for your career field and will be determined after you arrive.

Students have the option to select an additional 3-unit course from the CEA elective course offerings for an additional fee (bringing your credit total to 6 units). Some of the elective courses offered may satisfy a UA General Education requirement or an Eller upper-division core class including: MIS 373, Tier 2 Arts, and Global Business Program minor elective courses.

Eller students will receive three direct credits for BNAD 393A (Internship Seminar course). If you are interested in completing an additional 3-unit course, please schedule an appointment with an Eller Global Program Advisor to review the CEA elective course offerings and complete a Study Abroad Transfer Credit Pre-Approval form.

Students who are not in Eller will have to work out credit with their home department for the internship seminar course. If you do not get approval from your home department for the internship, then you will receive BNAD credit for the internship and this cannot be changed after you return, so please plan accordingly.

CEA’s partner, Anglo-American University, is Prague’s oldest private university. With a strong focus on international students, AAU offers more than 100 courses across its five schools.
