This five week program in the Caribbean offers students from a variety of academic backgrounds an opportunity to take a language track in accelerated elementary French or content courses in Caribbean culture, literature and politics. Located on the beautiful island of Martinique, students will enjoy a scenic environment while studying at the local university. Students will also have the option to stay with local families.

Students will earn a total of six credits. This program offers courses in accelerated French 1 (FREN 112), accelerated French 2 (FREN 212) or Caribbean culture, literature and politics (AFAS/FREN 314 & AFAS/LAS/POL 345).
Enjoy this immersive experience while you take care of your General Education requirements in the Caribbean! In addition to classroom instruction at the University of Antilles, students in all courses participate in faculty-guided excursions on the island, including historical sites and paradisiac beaches.
Students can opt to stay with a local family or in residence halls.
Martinique,is an island located in the Lesser Antilles and an overseas region of France. It has a distinctive blend of French and West Indian cultures.The program is located in Fort de France, the island's capital.
