Advice for new international students: Prepare yourselves for the desert sun.... Bring sunscreens (large SPF number), sunglasses, long-sleeve shirts, hats, and large water bottles!

Favorite Place You've Traveled: The country of Spain as a whole was amazing! However, the city of Madrid stood out the most to me! It has so much history and culture that can be seen throughout the entire city.

Advice for new international students: Do not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone! Coming to a new country is intimidating but it is also an opportunity to put yourself out there. We (GA's) promise to show you the beauties and wonders of Tucson, AZ! Bienvenidos!

What am I most looking forward to as a Global Ambassador? Some of the most meaningful experiences I had during my time abroad were with the foreigners who were generous enough to lend a helping hand, even when it came to the simplest of tasks. When I learned about this position, I wanted to be able to return that same kindness I received and help someone else find their way around a new country

Advice for new international students: Tucson will most likely be very different than what you are used to.  If you ever feel homesick or uncomfortable don't be afraid to reach out to new friends!  A supportive community and friends can make all the difference.  Also, other people want to make new friends just as much as you do.  Don't hold back.
