My name is Sara and I am majoring in Political Science, Middle Eastern Studies, and Arabic. I spent Spring 2019 at the American University in Cairo, Egypt. Traveling and studying in Egypt has always been a dream of mine, but it was better than I ever imagined! I drastically improved my Arabic speaking skills, immersed myself in a new and beautiful culture, and I got to see some of the ancient world's most precious treasures and landmarks. Studying in Egypt truly was a life-changing experience because I got a job teaching English to primary school children, so I am moving there post-graduation!
I'm grateful to the UofA and Study Abroad for the opportunity of a lifetime, and I love being a peer advisor so I can help others to have this same experience!
