Ryo Sugita joined UA Global in August 2019 as an Intern for the Long-term Education Administrators Program (LEAP) from Japan. Before joining UA Global, he worked in the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, and Technology (MEXT) for one year as part of his LEAP internship. Prior to that, he served for three years as an administrative staff in medical affairs division of Nagoya University in Japan. His current research topic is related to the role of university administrative staff in the United States. He is also interested in international exchange utilizing the microcampus model, study abroad, and alumni engagement. Upon completion of his internship in UA Global, he will return to Nagoya University.
Ryo holds a bachelor's degree and master's degree in Engineering from Nagoya Institute of Technology.
