John comes to UA Global with over a decade of experience in international education. Over the past eight years, he has worked at the tertiary level with both domestic students seeking to study abroad and international students pursuing degrees in the U.S. John possesses a diverse educational background with two bachelor’s degrees from Northern Kentucky University in Secondary Education and International Studies, one master’s degree in Linguistics from Ohio University, and another master’s degree from the University of Kentucky’s Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in International Education from the University of Kentucky. As a student and working professional, John has had the opportunity to study and work overseas. He participated in three education abroad programs as an undergraduate in Ireland, Spain, and Cameroon and one as a graduate student in Mexico. He also taught English in South Korea for two years. John is a published author and has presented at numerous professional conference on various topics within the field of international education and second language acquisition. In his free time, John enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking, biking, swimming, and camping.
