As the Study Abroad Recruitment Manager, Jacob's goal is to present study abroad to the campus community and encourage students to explore opportunities for journeys overseas. He loves engaging with students at fairs, in classrooms, on the mall, or at campus events and showing them how studying abroad can fit into their degree. Jacob also oversees the Study Abroad Peer Advisor program where study abroad alumni help students find their study abroad opportunities and share their experiences living and learning in a foreign country. Our hope is to get students to open their study abroad applications or plan for their programs later in their academic career, creating a seamless connection with the Study Abroad Coordinators.

After his own study abroad semester in Australia, Jacob was convinced International Higher Education was work worth pursing and spent three years as a student worker in an international office. Upon graduation, he got his first position in international admissions & recruitment and spent the next nine years traveling the globe helping international students find their journeys. In the last five years, he has taken a new path in study abroad, using his experience and knowledge to help students find their path as he did.
