The exchange program at the University of Konstanz is an excellent option for students looking for a smaller city setting in which to study. Courses are offered across a range of disciplines in German and English, with political science being particularly strong. Students are eligible to apply for one of the prestigious Baden-Württemberg scholarships which covers almost all housing expenses for a semester. Students live in residence halls arranged through the Studentenwerk.
Universität Konstanz was founded in 1966 and is an established research university with approximately 9,000 students, and with over 40 different fields of study in the Natural and Social Sciences and the Humanities. Most courses are taught in German; however, exchange students can select from a growing number of courses taught in English.
Konstanz offers an intensive German language program before the spring semester, which includes a general orientation and excursions and is a great way to meet other international students. Students with all levels of German from beginning to advanced may take this credit-bearing course.
Upon completion of studying abroad, Konstanz's International Office will mail your transcript to the University of Arizona. Your exchange coursework grades do not affect your UA grade point average. This is an exchange program with fees based on UA tuition and registration fees.

It also boasts many outdoor activities in the summer months including swimming, sailing, hiking and climbing.
The University of Konstanz has many student residences administered by the Studentenwerk. These residences are located across the city and availability depends on demand.
