Sciences Po, France’s leading university in the social sciences. Founded in 1872, Sciences Po is a highly selective research university known around the world for its tradition of academic excellence and international focus. Every summer, this prestigious institution of higher learning opens its doors to host the Sciences Po Summer School. Participants from around the world have the opportunity to experience Sciences Po’s academic environment and to become part of its international community.

The program is held in two separate sessions during the months of June and July. Students have the choice to attend one or both sessions.
Social Sciences Track Overview
The social sciences track offers Summer School students the opportunity to delve into a fundamental subject of the Sciences Po curriculum. In 2018, students in the social sciences track choose one core class of intensive study, which takes the form of 36 contact hours per month. Areas of study include international relations, political science, economics, history, and more. Students have the option to take a class taught in either English or French. Candidates are required to demonstrate proof of their ability to successfully complete a course in the language of choice.

Students have the option to obtain accommodation through the program for an additional cost. (ranging from 830 € to 1200 € per session)

To find the estimated costs of these programs, follow these steps:
- Go to Science Po's website, with the mouse and scroll down
- Look over the expense items listed under "Program Fees" and "Expenses" and tally up expenses from BOTH, converting the currency from Euro to US Dollars (suggested currency converter: XE-Converter).
- Last, also add to the total expenses the Study Abroad Fee of $600 health insurance (~$40), and the costs of airfare to Paris(~$1,300).
