International Student Services Goes Paperless!

Effective March 2017, International Student Services (ISS) is bringing added functionality to UA International, our online system for managing international student records. For the various requests that require your input, this added feature will streamline and simplify the process. Instead of filling out forms and letters, you’ll be able to quickly complete everything online for these requests:

  • Program Extensions

  • Optional Practical Training (OPT)

  • Curricular Practical Training (CPT)

  • Graduate Coursework Completion

  • Full-Time Enrollment Exemptions

During the transition, there will still be some immigration requests that require a department signature or letter.  As additional paper requests are replaced by e-forms, we will post the update to Immigration: UA International.

How does it work?

  1. Students initiate a request in UA International. The e-forms instruct students to discuss the request with you prior to submission.

  2. You’ll receive an email with a direct link to the e-form to complete. 

  3. Log in with your NetID and password to access the e-form.

  4. Answer the e-form questions, providing the required academic information. A link at the top of the e-form allows you to see what the student submitted.

  5. Click “Submit.”

Staff with Multiple UA Email Addresses

If you have more than one email address (for example, "" and "") then your students must provide whichever email address is listed in the Enterprise Directory Service (EDS) when initiating an e-form request. If they do not provide the EDS email, then you will not be able to access their requests from the email link you receive. Students can find the EDS email listed in the UA Phonebook

If the primary email address that you use to communicate with students is not in the EDS, we recommend that you work with your department to update it.
