New SEVP Portal for OPT Reporting

On March 23, 2018, the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) launched the SEVP Portal. If you are on post-completion OPT or STEM OPT, you can use the portal to report changes to your home address, telephone number and employer information. You can access the portal from both your mobile phone and computer.

Use of the SEVP Portal is voluntary, but OPT reporting is mandatory. You must report any changes to employment or address in either the SEVP Portal or the OPT Reporting e-form UA International.

When can I begin using the SEVP Portal?

If your OPT was approved before March 23, SEVP sent you an email on March 23 with instructions on creating a portal account. This email was from do-not-reply.sevp@ice.dhs.gov. If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk mail folder. If you still do not see it, please contact International Student Services at intl-opt@email.arizona.edu.

If your OPT is still pending with USCIS, then you will not receive the email until after it has been approved.

What can I do in the SEVP Portal?

  • View details about your post-completion or STEM OPT.

  • Report changes to your address, telephone and employer information.

  • View and update data on all your employers in one place.

Students on STEM OPT cannot delete employers or add a new employer. To do that, you must submit the OPT Reporting e-form, and updated I-983, in UA International.

Any data updates you make in the portal will be sent directly to the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).
