Spend your summer studying in a lakeside city rich in history and beauty! The Summer program at the University of Konstanz is designed specially for students in the School of Government and Public Policy and is an excellent option for students looking for a short-term study abroad program in a smaller city setting. The 6-week program includes two seminars in political science offered in English. All 6 credits received through the program will be transfer as upper division POL elective credits. Accepted students are eligible to apply for up to $1000 travel stipend from the School of Government and Public Policy (limited to enrolled majors) and an 750 euro stipend from the University of Konstanz.

Universität Konstanz was founded in 1966 and is an established research university with approximately 9,000 students. The summer program at Universität Konstanz is open to students from the University of Arizona in the School of Government and Public Policy. Students can earn 6 UA direct credits for 2 courses in political science, international affairs, and public policy.

Konstanz is set in the South of Germany, beautifully located on Lake Constance near the Swiss Alps. This location offers itself to convenient travel into beautiful regions in Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. With a community of only 81,000 residents, Konstanz has a more intimate feel than many larger cities; however, there is plenty to do and see in this scenic town including many outdoor activities such as swimming, sailing, hiking and climbing.
Students will live in double rooms in a local hostel in Konstanz which is equipped with kitchenette facilities. Students may be eligible for a 750€ to help with the housing costs from the University of Konstanz.
