Flinders University located in Adelaide, Australia and the University of Arizona offer qualified students the opportunity to obtain both a Master of Public Policy and Management degree from Flinders University and a Master of Public Administration degree from University of Arizona.
This unique program provides students the opportunity to study across Australia and the US and receive two different but complimentary degrees from two world-class universities. The combination of course and curriculum provides students with a truly global context as well as an understanding of both Australian and US policy, administration and management environments.
This program gives you a range of tools to understand and drive economic, social and political change and develop a thorough understanding of public administration, policy and management and to develop your qualitative and quantitative skills in policy analysis, governance, implementation and evaluation. You will learn how policies are developed and implemented with a strong foundation in understanding, knowledge and skills in the practice of management in a public or non-profit environment.
The inclusion of a capstone project in the last year allows students to foster the managerial skills needed to meet today's greater demands for accountability and effectiveness from public and non-profit organizations.
This program prepares students for a management career in public service sectors, including federal, state, and local government agencies, as well as non-profits organizations in Australia, the US and internationally.
Students may choose to start their studies at either Flinders University or the University of Arizona where they will study their first and second semesters and complete their program, studying their third and fourth semesters at the other university as outlined in the academic pathway options below.
