Prior to working in the Office of Global Initiatives, Donella’s professional career evolved from her work in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences where she garnered knowledge regarding international challenges and societal issues associated with nutrition. As Program Development Manager at the Office of Global Initiatives (OGI) responsibilities include managing traditional student mobility on assigned programs in Canada and Mexico, as well as developing innovative new program models, pursing mobility-related funding opportunities, managing scholarship opportunities, contributing to the internationalization at home curriculum efforts and other student mobility programming. Our Program Development team works across regions in close collaboration with regional coordinators, OGI staff and all other relevant stakeholders.
Coming from a diverse cultural background, Donella is half Irish and Korean. Her husband’s family are Chinese refugees who traveled through Vietnam. Donella spends her recreational time learning Cantonese and Mandarin, hiking, camping and golfing.
