Benjamin Gilman International Scholarship Awardees

The Benjamin Gilman International Scholarship, sponsored by the US Department of State and administered by the Institute of International Education, awards scholarships to outstanding undergraduate American students to participate in study abroad or international internship programs during the summer and academic semesters. The Gilman Scholarship award is the largest source of funding available to students who will study abroad.

For Summer and Fall 2016, 33 University of Arizona students were awarded the Gilman Scholarship. The scholarship provides the opportunity for a valuable and amazing study abroad experience to students who may not otherwise be able to afford it. The number of Gilman scholarship recipients is a tremendous point of pride for the UofA as it is a clear reflection of our commitment to increasing diversity and access to study abroad.
