Dr. Lisa Adeli, Director of Educational Outreach at the University of Arizona Center for Middle Eastern Studies, has received five Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad awards between 2009 and the present. She will present on the projects she's done through this Fulbright-Hays program. Information about the Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad program, and how to apply, will also be presented.

UA Passports closed for holiday observance

UA Passports will be closed in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr holiday. The office will reopen at 8:30am on Tuesday, January 16th.

UA Passports will offer special Saturday hours to accept U.S. Passport applications. Use this opportunity to apply for your passport for trips during the upcoming Spring Break and Summer vacations, and to meet Study Abroad application deadlines.

International GIS Day

The UA Libraries are excited to announce a celebration of the numerous applications of geospatial technology, analysis, and data being produced in research and teaching. In addition to a demonstration of ArcGIS Online and a workshop on QGIS, we’ll be hosting a series of lightning talks by students, faculty, and staff members covering a broad range of topics from mobile data collection apps to image analysis in the cloud.

International Science Center Day at the Flandrau Center & Planetarium

In celebration of "International Science Center Day," the Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium at UA will offer free admission to all exhibits. Science provides a common basis of measurement and knowledge about our world and our universe that spans countries and cultures! Come and explore exhibits about Earth Science, Gems, Math Puzzles, the Solar System, Mars, and more, plus the world-renowned UA Mineral Museum. Planetarium shows will still be regular price ($8).
