100% Engagement Non-Credit Experiences
The 100% Engagement Initiative at the University of Arizona is based on our recognition that experiences beyond the classroom provide a framework for our students to enrich their professional and personal growth, and the importance of those experiences is reflected by an Engaged Learning Notation on our students' transcripts. These experiences are also eligible for Intercultural Competence Badges through the UA Credly Program. Digital badges are an indicator of accomplishments or skills that can be displayed, accessed and verified online. For questions regarding badges, please email the UA Global Badging Team.
UA Global believes very strongly that engagement, and particularly global engagement is a vital piece of your college experience.
We have developed two very unique engagement opportunities.
- The UA Refugee Project - The UA Refugee Engagement Project will provide UA students the opportunity to gain or build on their existing intercultural competency and skills by volunteering with Tucson-based agencies supporting the resettlement process for the approximately 800 refugees who settle in Tucson each year.
- Global Ambassador Program - The UA Global Ambassador Program is a leadership program for UA students who are interested in bridging cultures between American and international students and serving as ambassadors for the international and global community on campus.
